PET OWNERS -- THIS IS AN URGENT FRIENDLY REMINDER!!!
Please Update your Dog or Cat's MicroChip Registry Owner Name & Contact Name(s), Address, Phone Number(s), and Alternate Contact(s)!!!!

Sadly it is all too common that pet owners move to a new home or apartment, or change their telephone numbers, or get divorced/split up, and completely forget to notify their pet's microchip registry of their new/current contact
details to be used in the event that their pet gets lost or goes missing! !!!  Please folks!!! You must update the chip registry with your current contact details!!! This is crucial to bringing your pet home if it gets lost or goes missing!!!!

Or, well-meaning folks adopt a wonderful animal from a rescue organization or shelter, and fail to notify the microchip registry with the animal's new name (if renamed) and also fail to provide the registry with the pet's new owner name and new contact information!!  Again....please folks!!!! You must update the chip registry with your name and contact details!!! This is crucial to bringing your pet back home if it gets lost or goes missing!!!!

Please realize that if your pet's microchip is not registered properly to you, and the contact information in the registry is not correct or up-to-date, your
pet is not protected, and you cannot be contacted if your pet is lost, and the microchip is therefore useless instead of serving its purpose!!!  The microchip can only bring your beloved pet back home to you, if you have ensured that the microchip registry can easily contact you in the awful event that your pet is lost!!!

So, please -- If you need to update your dog microchip or cat microchip registry with your current contact information, please do not leave it until your pet goes missing!!!  Please do it NOW!!! Do not wait!!!

And, if you have misplaced your pet's microchip #, you can go to any vet and have your fuzzy buddy scanned to obtain the microchip #.  Then immediately register the chip # with that specific chip-maker, and/or I believe "HomeAgain.com" will allow you to register any brand microchip with them, so that you can be contacted if your pet is ever lost. (Note: I have no affiliation with HomeAgain or any microchip company at all.)

I'd also recommend that you save your pet's microchip registry phone #, along with the chip # itself in your smartphone, along with a couple of clear identifying photos of your pets, so that if your pet is ever suddenly lost or missing or runs away, you have all of the microchip info & photos at your fingertips, to start the ball rolling on making "lost" notifications and getting the word out about your pet, in order to get him/her back home as quickly and safely as possible.

** Also, found this online this morning and thought I'd share....
Apparently, you can click below if you would like to sign up for a FREE annual email reminding you to update
your pet's microchip registry owner/contact details once a year. It doesn't matter if you are not registered
with them in particular, it's just a simple reminder email they provide, in order to
prompt you.
(Note:  I am also not affiliated with this company in any way - this seems to be a very useful FREE reminder service that I just found online and wanted to pass along to pet-parents.)  Here is the link:
